Recycled Pet Rescue

Summer, 2007
Dear Friends and Art Lovers,

This year has really flown by! Lately, I have been going through some major changes by dissolving my old business partnership Susan Rios Inc. and branching out on my own. My new business name is Susan Rios Editions and this website is just the first thing in a line of wonderful new things to come. What an exciting time it has been! So much to do, sometimes it seems overwhelming, but I take each day as a new opportunity and am grateful for the many blessings in my life.

The biggest news is that I am celebrating my 30th anniversary! That's right, I have officially been in business as an artist for
30 years. Creating artwork is so joyous for me and it is magical to know that something that brings me such joy touches the lives
of others. This is the most amazing gift.

Also, the Twelve Teas of Inspiration by Emilie Barnes, and illustrated by yours truly, has just been released. So many of you know and love Emilie Barnes, and this new book is just - what can I say - Inspiring! I cannot tell you how grateful and appreciative I am to get to illustrate my lovely friend Emilie's books.

We have many more appearances planned this year, we are involved in some great charities, such as the UCLA Revlon Breast Center, and we are offering something special around our shows this year, so check the show schedule, and find out where there will be one in your area. Please sign up for my mailing list, if you haven't already so we can keep you up to date as shows come up.

As you may know, I get inspiration, hope and courage from many sources. Lately, my thoughts and art have been centered around a common theme: Magic is in BELIEVING; Belief is found within the HEART; This is the KEY that opens; The door to your HEART'S DESIRE... I find this to be an inspirational thought because for me, belief truly is the key to anything I can possibly want out of life. There are two schools of thought on believing, the first is 'I'll believe it when I see it', and the second is 'I'll see it when I believe it'. I am definitely a supporter of the latter one. Good things will come your way only when you believe they are possible and believe that you deserve them. As a reminder, I have included keys in most of my new paintings, some hidden, some not. You will see the key as a new recurring theme throughout my work. I hope that it reminds you to continue believing in your dreams, and most importantly, yourself. Let's always remember to seek the MAGIC
in life, through the power of BELIEF,
until each of us achieves our own
HEART'S DESIRE!
            Many Blessings to You,
            Susan
